Royal Grenada Police Force Welcomes 46 New Officers

 

                                                   
                                                                                 
St. George's, Grenada — The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) proudly welcomed 46 new police officers into its ranks during a Passing Out Parade for Recruit Course #49. 

Held at Camp Salines, Point Salines, St. George's, under the theme Bridging Communities and Building Trust, the newly minted officers marched proudly across the parade ground before an audience of distinguished guests, including Governor-General of Grenada Her Excellency Dame Cécile La Grenade, Prime Minister of Grenada The Honourable Dickon Mitchell, Commissioner of Police Mr. Randy Connaught, Chief Magistrate Her Honour Ms. Francine Foster, and Chief InstructorW/Inspector #20 Michelle Holder.

The ceremony was marked by words of encouragement and inspiration for the graduating class, celebrating their dedication throughout an intensive training programme and their commitment to serving their country.

Speaking on behalf of the recruits and reflecting on the milestone, Police Constable #841 Naquan St. Bernard, who was awarded the Baton of Honour which is the Highest Award given to any student at the Police Training School, shared how the shared journey — and its many hardships — forged a lasting bond of community among the recruits, culminating in the honour bestowed upon them as sworn police officers.

Among the graduates, four officers distinguished themselves in the Regional Security System Anti-Money Laundering Unit (RSSARU) Financial Investigations and Asset Recovery Course, standing out amid a field of outstanding participants.

Two officers - WPC #502 Sade Frederick and PC #806 Dorian Panchoo - were jointly honoured with the Award of Excellence for placing first in the course, while second place was awarded to PC #69 Juan Adolphus.

An Award of Excellence for displaying the highest level of participation in Financial Investigations and Asset Recovery Course was awarded to W/PC #357 Samantha Dickson.

The celebrations continued into the evening with a cocktail reception honouring the recruits, along with former graduates and staff of the Royal Grenada Police Force Training School, marking a continued celebration of their shared training journey.

During the reception, further awards were presented to the recruits, including certificates of graduation from the Training School and certificates of completion for the RSSARU Financial Investigations and Asset Recovery Course.

The Regional Security System extends its congratulations to all graduating officers of Recruit Course #49, and wishes them success as they begin their careers in service to the people of Grenada.
